The first Hebrew was written in Canaanite Hebrew, a type of hieroglyphic distinct from Egyptian.(Early)

The Modern Hebrew is not actually Hebrew but Aramaic script.(Late)
יְהוָה (Modern Hebrew) (YHWH)
This is the Tetragrammaton, the four letter name of God , usually pronounced Yahweh. There are many theories that exist concerning the origin and meaning of this name but most likely comes from the verb הוה (hawah) meaning to exist. The yud added to the beginning identifies the object of the verb as first person, masculine, singular, imperfect tense or "he exists".
